Wildhorn Outfitters is recalling about 9,700 camping hammocks due to the product’s cinch buckles that came with the hammocks and suspension kit failing and causing straps to detach from the hammock. This poses a fall hazard.
The company has received three reports of cinch buckles breaking, including one report of a minor laceration injury.
This recall involves the Outpost 1 Hammock, made for one person, and the Outpost II Hammock, the two person model, and one standalone Wildhorn Outfitters Litespeed Suspension Kit.
The 100-percent nylon hammocks come in various colors including gray, blue, orange and green. “Wildhorn Outfitters” is stitched on a label on the hammocks.
The hammocks, manufactured in China, were sold online at amazon.com and wildhornoutfitters.com from June 2016 through August 2016 for between $25 and $60.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled hammock cinch buckles and contact Wildhorn. The company will ship out replacement buckles free of charge and provide a prepaid envelope for consumers to return the recalled cinch buckles. Wildhorn Outfitters is contacting all consumers directly.
Consumers may contact Wildhorn Outfitters toll-free at 884-202-1612 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (CT), Monday through Friday, by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or online at http://www.wildhornoutfitters.com and click on recalls for more information.
