
Spyder Controls Recall: 3,419 G9 Electronic Control Units Recalled Over Risks of Short Circuit

What To Know About The Spyder Controls Recall
3,139 G9 electronic control units with part numbers BMODWTIR1, DMODZTIR4, and BMODWTIR are being recalled by Spyder Controls.
The recall has been issued after discovering that the said units can short circuit if the excessive voltage is used. As a result, the components on the board could also be damaged.
The Spyder Controls reiterate that once there is too much voltage used, the unit and the circuit board are being damaged. This, increasing the hazards of fire.

What You Need To Do
Spyder has informed the affected component consumers who have filed their recalls. Meanwhile, the company has pledged that they will give a G9 Protection module to limit voltage free of charge.
