More on the Schaws BBQ Recall
The Schaws Sweet and Sassy Barbecue and Basting Sauce and Schaws Sweet with Heat Barbecue and Basting Sauce are being recalled by Schaws Sauce of Iron River, Mich. According to reports, the product is made of soy and anchovies, which are allergens undeclared on the label. Here’s what we know on the Schaws BBQ Sauce Recall:
As of this writing, the company hasn’t received any complaints or reports of illnesses linking to the recalled products.
The company also revealed that both sauces came in clear 18-oz. jars with white metal lids and have an expiration date of August 20, 2022. These items were purchased by consumers in Michigan. However, it’s also retailed through the company website.

What You Need To Do
The recall reiterates that consumers who bought the recalled product and are allergic to soy or anchovies should stop consuming it. However, they could return the bottle to Schaws Sauce, 176 Stanley Lake Drive, Iron River, Michigan 49935, for a refund.
For consumers with other concerns, they can call the firm at (800) 797-5226 between 9:00 A. M. and 4:00 P. M. (CT) Monday thru Friday.
