According to reports, the faulty fuel pump can result in engine stalling, eventually leading to a car crash accident.
Honda declares that the issue with the fuel pump was caused by the impellers, the component of the pump that rotates and is produced with low density. It was discovered that the impellers could possibly malfunction and deform.
The issue with the fuel pump can cause the car engine not to start. In worst cases, the engine can unexpectedly stall while the vehicle owner is driving, resulting in a car accident.
Honda asserts that they have not yet received any reports that the faulty pump has led to a car crash, accident, or injury.
However, the company has received 166 reports and 583 warranty claims related to the issue.
The company states that they have further investigated the faulty impeller density to fix the issue and replace it with a better component.
The total number of cars being recalled, both inside and outside the United States, is estimated to reach more than 761,000 car units.

Honda advises affected car owners to bring their vehicles to authorized dealers and to get their cars repaired. The repair will be shouldered by Honda.
