Homerygardens Extension Cord Splitter Recall; Potential Fire Hazard

The Sales BSD Homerygardens Extension Cord Splitter Recall

Upon discovering that the wire size of the extension cords couldn’t handle the appropriate amp load, Sales BSD of Brooklyn, N.Y. decided to announce its recall.

This recall includes around 5,700  Homerygardens 4-Outlet, 6-foot long Indoor, and Outdoor Extension Cord Splitters. Furthermore, the company confirmed that the recalled product is six feet long, and black with four outlets and an on/off switch.

The issue about the wire size could lead to insufficient protective features, thus, increasing the risk of a fire.

As of this time, the company hasn’t received any reports of injuries.

Furthermore, the extension cord splitters have been manufactured from China. These items were retailed online at and from March 2019, through August 2020, for between $11 and $23.

What You Need To Do

The Sales BSD advised consumers to immediately stop using the extension cords. Rather, they should be in touch with Sales BSD Inc. to return the product and get a full refund. Furthermore, the company reiterated that consumers will not be charged for shipping and handling. Also, the company confirmed that they will notify all known purchasers.

For consumers who may have other concerns, they may call Sales BSD toll-free at (866) 966-0606 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (ET) Monday through Friday, or by email at for more information.
