Dole Fresh Curly Parsley Recall 2021

Dole Curly Leaf Parsley, with specified harvest dates of August 18, 2021, to August 19, 2021, is being recalled. In Michigan, a random, routine regulatory sample came back positive with non-O157 STEC, a.k.a Shiga toxin-producing E. coli. Dole Fresh Vegetables is closely coordinating with regulatory officials regarding the recall; no illnesses have been documented to date.

Shiga-toxin-producing E. coli is a foodborne illness-causing organism that can harm a person who consumes a contaminated food item. Stomach cramps, diarrhea, as well as vomiting are all possible symptoms of infection.

The illness is more prevalent in the elderly, children, and those with compromised immune systems. The majority of healthy people and children rarely go extremely ill.
