Chrysler Recall Includes Jeep Liberty, Chrysler 200, and Dodge Avenger

Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling 414,134 model year 2012 Jeep Libertys, and model year 2012-2013 Chrysler 200s and Dodge Avengers. The Chrysler recall is due to a component within the occupant restraint controller (ORC), which may fail and prevent the active headrests from deploying in a rear-end crash. A failure to deploy increases the risk of injury to front seat occupants.

Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the ORC as necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin November 29, 2017.

Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA’s number for this recall is T56.
