BMW Recall: Numerous X7 xDrive40i and M50i Recalled
By Consider The Consumer on November 19, 2020
Tire Information Labels Cause BMW Recall
The BMW Recall involves nearly 400 X7 xDrive40i and M50i vehicles after the automaker claimed that tire information labels may contain information on tire size and cold tire inflation pressure that differs from the specific tires that were installed on these vehicles.
According to BMW of North America, the vehicle operator may have been confused by the label’s information that led to the installation of a wrong-sized tire and/or inflation pressure, which could potentially increase car crash risks.
What Consumers Need to Know
BMW will notify affected owners and their information label will be replaced by their dealers free of charge. The recall is anticipated to start on October 19, 2020.
