BMW Vehicles Alleged To Have Problems With Their Brake Assist System
The car company BMW has started a recall order concerning more than half a hundred thousand of its vehicular offerings after finding out that they have issues with their car brake assist systems.
Per online reports, BMW has shared that the recalled vehicles’ brake assist system has a chance to not operate well and fail. This results in the car driver having a more difficult time using the brakes. Additionally, car stopping distances are said to increase as a result of the defect.
Listed below are the affected models that are covered in the Brake Assist Recall:
- 2019-2021 BMW Z4 M40i;
- 2020 540i xDrive;
- 2020 BMW 540i;
- 2020 BMW M340i;
- 2020 BMW X3 M40i;
- 2020 M340i xDrive;
- 2020-2021 BMW 745Le xDrive;
- 2020-2021 BMW X4 M40i; and
BMW has announced, via the NHTSA, that customers who own any of the abovementioned car models can go to the nearest BMW for a repair free of charge.
