Uber Sexual Assault Lawsuits 2021 – Uber Drivers Sexually Harassing Female Passengers…

As Judge Releases His Order, Allegations Of A Company-wide Culture Allowing Sexual Harassment From Uber Drivers Will Continue To Be Heard In Court

Ride-hailing company Uber will continue to face the lawsuit’s legal allegations of a company-wide culture that allowed its riders to sexually harass their female passengers as a Superior Court Judge ruled out of their favor.

Jane Doe v. Uber Case To Carry On

It is expected that the legal proceedings will push through in the Jane Doe’s Uber Sexual Assault Lawsuit after the Superior Court Judge of San Francisco released an order dismissing Uber’s motions and filings to have the complaints filed against them be dismissed early on.

As of writing, Uber is embroiled in a series of different lawsuits filed against them by aggrieved women passengers that allegedly experienced sexual harassment from their Uber drivers.

One of the cases was filed by a former passenger. She was allegedly sexually assaulted by the driver of the Uber she booked on her way to work. Her driver, named Jason Humberto Rodas, allegedly attempted to make explicit and unwarranted sexual advances to her, but fortunately, she was able to fight them off. After fleeing for her safety, she reported the incident to the authorities, and Rodas soon ended up behind bars.

She filed a lawsuit against Uber for allegedly failing to check one of their drivers’ background information. It was later found out that the assaulter above had a documented history of sexual assault and domestic abuse reports tailing him. However, the company did not perform any checks of publicly available records, and ended up hiring the driver.

Court Judge Releases Their Order

San Francisco Superior Court Judge Richard B. Ulmer released his decision denying Uber’s early bid to have the allegations against them be declined. However, a few changes were introduced, and the legal proceedings would continue as expected.
