Travel Insurance Scam
For years now, airlines have tried, aggressively, to sell travel or flight insurance to accompany the sale of airline tickets. These insurance policies are often issued by AIG Travel Guard and Allianz Global Assistance.
The issue in these cases is that these airlines allegedly do not have licenses to sell travel insurance yet collect kickbacks that are not disclosed to consumers, and as a result, you may have overpaid for the travel insurance you purchased.

Two airlines that are engaged in this practice are Frontier Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines. If you have purchased travel insurance while buying a plane ticket from either of these airlines, you may be affected.
