Ladies, you have decided to spend lazy summer afternoons at home just relaxing. You can be by the the pool, you can be in the park or you can do like Jill Scott sings in A Long Walk, “chill and just be.” Whatever your plans are, have these essentials on hand for the ultimate “staycation.”
1. Bose SoundLink Color II Speaker
This tiny speaker made by Bose comes in a variety of colors and packs a punch when it comes to sound quality. It is also waterproof and soft to the touch. Each battery charge lasts a full eight hours. Pairing with devices via bluetooth, it allows you to take calls using the speaker. Bose Soundlink II can be found online or at Walmart and retails for about $129. It is not just for outdoors. Use it while taking a long hot bath as well.
2. The Portable Grill
NexGrill’s 2-Burner Portable Propane Tabletop Gas Grill is perfect for having a mini impromptu barbecue for one or two. It has an easy start up. It can also be put together in about 20 minutes without the use of extra tools according to Consumer Reports. This grill can be found online or at most Home Depot Stores and retails for around $109.
3. The Rova by Furrion
The Rova might look a bit futuristic and so might it’s $700 price tag. But, its technology will chill your wine for a week and keep your meats and fruits cold and fresh. Traditional coolers require too much work with having to buy ice, load up the cooler, pack up the cooler, drain the cooler and so on. It allows you to skip that step because it is iceless! This unit runs on a battery that costs an additional $299. However, if you travel by car often, it may be worth the investment. If The Rova isn’t in your budget, try a more economical alternative. Here are a number of electric coolers that do not require ice and are more affordable than The Rova.
4. The Perfect Lounge Chair is a Bed
If you are going to have to vacation at home this summer, then feel like you are on vacation. Buy yourself a home getaway for about $600 on Amazon! The Suncrown Outdoor Round Patio Daybed with Retractable Canopy will make you feel like you have left the city and taken refuge on a tropical island. Lay back, sip wine chilled in your Rova, nibble on grilled Nexgrill delights and listen to The Roots on your Bose Soundlink II. What better way to getaway for a few hours when you can’t go away for the summer?
