Safety Alert: More Flour Recalls Due to E.coli Contamination

Two brands of flour have been recalled due to possible E. coli contamination, according to the Food and Drug Administration.

The two brands are Hodgson Mill Unbleached All-Purpose White Wheat Flour and Wild Harvest Organic Unbleached All-Purpose Flour, both in 5-pound bags. To date, no illnesses have been reported as a result of this recall.

These are the fifth and sixth brands of flour recalled for E. coli this year following King Arthur, Pillsbury, and Baker’s Corner.

The information for the flours involved in the recall is as follows:

  • Hodgson Mill: Best by dates 10-01-2020 or 10-02-2020; UPC 0-71518-05009-2; and lot codes 001042 or 005517
  • Hodgson Mill: Best by dates 10-01-2020 or 10-02-2020; UPC 0-71518-05009-2; and lot codes 001042 or 005517
  • Wild Harvest: AA Best if used by date 01-08-20; UPC 711535509158; and CC 15:58
