Cookie and brownie mixes in nine states are being recalled according to a new post by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The mixes sold in stores located in Alabama, Iowa, Ohio, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Minnesota, New York and South Carolina, could pose a risk for E.coli contamination due to the use of a previously recalled flour listed as one of the main ingredients in the mixes.
The products under the recall carry the names: Brand Castle, Sister’s Gourmet and ADM Milling Company. The supplier of the flour, ADM Milling Company is where the problem is believed to have originated.
Consumers are urged to check their homes for the contaminated products with the following:

If consumers find they are in possession of any of the products on the recall list, they are to discard them immediately or return them to the store of purchase for a refund.
