Marine Deck Chairs Recalled Before Independence Day Weekend

West Marine, is recalling about 11,600 of their brand’s popular boating Deck Chairs and Comfort Plus Deck Crew folding chairs due to a faulty lock nut that connects the arm rest to the chair. While no incidents or injuries have been reported, the company says it can can loosen causing numerous fall and injury hazards to consumers.

The affected chairs have the model or SKU numbers 18766972 and 19268135. These are printed on a paper tag attached to the chair’s frame. The chairs were sold nationwide at West Marine stores and online between January 2018 – May 2019. The chairs retailed for about $100.

Consumers are advised to stop using the chairs and contact theWest Marine for a free repair kit at 877-579-1550 from 8 am to 5 pm, EST, Monday through Friday.
