King Arthur Flour Being Recalled Due to E. Coli Outbreak

King Arthur Flour is being recalled due to an E. coli outbreak that has affected more than a dozen people in eight states so far. As a result, King Arthur is recalling 14,218 cases of the 5lb. bags of Unbleached All-Purpose Flour according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The FDA made this announcement late Thursday. King Arthur Flour has been distributed to retailers and distributors nationwide.

According to a statement from King Arthur, E. coli was linked to “an ongoing outbreak of E. coli infection. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with King Arthur flour.”

In May, 17 people in eight states reported illness after eating flour, according to The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The new King Arthur Flour recall involves the following code lots and best-used-by dates:

The flour sold by Aldi was made by ADM and sold in these states: Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and West Virginia. Recalled Bakers Corner All Purpose Flour has the UPC code 041498130404.
