Infant Headrests Sold At Target Recalled Due To Suffocation Hazard

A popular infant headrest is under recall. The Boppy Company is recalling 14,000 Boppy Infant Head and Neck Support accessories due to a suffocation hazard, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

The problem with the support is that the head and neck area of the accessories “can be overstuffed causing an infant’s head to be tilted too far forward, posing a suffocation hazard,” says CPSC.

The accessories involved in the recall are used in infant swings, bouncers and strollers:

  • Ebony Floral and Heathered Gray styles
  • Model numbers 4150114 and 4150117.

The Boppy Company accessories were sold at Target, Buy Buy Baby and other stores that sell baby and infant products nationwide and online from March through May of this year. Ech retailed for about $20.

Consumers should immediately stop using the product and contact the Boppy Company at 888-772-6779 for a full refund.
