An investigation has commenced regarding Honda CR-V (MY 2019-2021), Civic (MY 2019-2021) and Accord (MY 2018-2021) vehicles that are prone to engine oil contamination. It has been alleged that consumers with these Honda CR-V, Civic and Accord vehicles are experiencing fuel contamination of the engine oil that results in the failure of engine bearings and other internal engine components. This may result in catastrophic engine failure and even stalling while driving.  It has also been alleged that consumers who present their vehicles to Honda for repair are informed that this engine oil contamination is considered normal and are denied warranty coverage for the necessary repairs.  As a result, current and former owners and lessees may be forced to pay for replacement engines and repairs out-of-pocket.
