Ford Focus Recalls Over 58,000 For Potential Stall Risk

Ford has issued a recall of over 58,000 of its 2012-2014 and 2017 Focus cars. The recall is due to an incomplete software update that was part of a prior recall and could pose a stall risk for drivers. That recall was to fix a gas tank issue that could cause loss of power, improper fuel gauge readings, or other malfunctions, according to the automaker.

Vehicles losing power while on the road increase the risk of a crash. Ford says it hasn’t received any reports of crashes or injuries related to this issue to date.

Until they can have their cars updated, Ford recommends owners keep their gas tanks at least half full to prevent the vehicle from unknowingly running out of gas and stalling.

I think Ford should take all these cars back and give us what we paid for them. Since I bought this car it as been nothing but trouble. It has been at the shop some many times and the recalls are crazy to damn many!! I am so mad right now and I want something done and I want rid of this but not giving money for new car that this one should have been taken care of from the start.
