FDA Recalls Raw Dog Food Due Listeria, Salmonella

The FDA has issued a recall warning for dog owners who buy Performance Dog frozen raw pet food. Consumers are urged to throw it out because it has tested positive for salmonella and listeria monocytogenes.

The recall is specifically for pet food produced on or after July 22, 2019. There are no lot codes printed on retail packaging.

Pet owners are also warned to handle the food with care because listeria and salmonella can affect humans as well.
