Eye Drop Recall Extends To CVS Store Brands, Non-Sterile Product

Altaire Pharmaceuticals, Inc., announced last week it is recalling eye lubricants, drops and ointments made exclusively for CVS because they may not be sterile. Non-sterile products that are intended to be used as sterile may result in serious and/or potentially life-threatening illnesses.

To date, there have been no reports, of illness or injuries related to this product. This recall comes weeks after the manufacturer recalled brands made exclusively for Walgreens and Walmart for the same reason.
