Capitan K Packaged Salmon Recalled Due to Listeria

An inspection of packaged salmon found listeria in the product and has led to a nationwide recall. The product was made and packaged in Russia.

Capitan K (NOT “Captain K” but “Capitan K”) is distributed by Euphoria Fancy Food out of New York and it was that state’s Department of Agriculture that found the bacteria in packages of the salmon product.

This recall is specific to the vacuum-packed 7.05-ounce packages with a best by date of 01/30/20.

Consumers are not to consume the product and may return the salmon to the store of purchase for a full refund.

There are no reports of illness associated with this product at the time of this reporting.
