The Complete List Of The Best Black Friday Camera Deals

The Black Friday camera deals are not likely to bring much rejoicing this year. But there are bargains to be had—especially if you’re looking for kits that include an SLR camera body, a pair of lenses, and accessories.

If you’re shopping for someone who loves shooting sports, landscapes, or portraits, that means you can choose a lens that covers wide-angle to normal focal lengths and a telephoto lens tailored to a specific pursuit.

Much like last year, Best Buy has the widest selection of specials, including some on cameras from Canon, Nikon, Sony, and GoPro. But you’ll often find better deals at other retailers. And, if you’re willing to buy a refurbished camera, you can save even more by shopping for kits on manufacturer websites, where products that have been returned and repaired get a significant price reduction.

SLR Kit Deals

Canon EOS Rebel T6 two-lens SLR kit, $450
The best deal for this versatile, entry-level camera—available at Kohl’s—includes 18-55mm and 75-300mm lenses, plus a camera bag, and a $135 credit (known as Kohl’s Cash) toward future purchases. At Best Buy, BJ’s Wholesale, and Costco, you get the two lenses, the camera bag, and a 32GB memory card(which can be found on Amazon for as little as $14). And at Target, you get the lenses, the camera bag, and a 16GB memory card. If you’re looking for an even better bargain, Canon’s website routinely sells a refurbished model with the same lenses for $310.

Nikon D3400 two-lens SLR kit, $500
For Costco members, the deal includes 18-55mm and 70-300mm lenses, plus a 32GB memory card, a camera bag, and an extra battery worth $40. The offer is also available—without the battery—at Best Buy, BJ’s Wholesale, and Target. On Nikon’s website, you can buy the model in a refurbished kit for $350 to $450.

Sony a6000 two-lens mirrorless digital camera kit, $700
Available at Best Buy, this deal features 16-50mm and 55-210mm lenses, plus a 32GB memory card and a camera bag. It’s not a bad price—in fact it matches Best Buy’s Black Friday deal for 2016—but on occasion we’ve seen this kit discounted all the way down to $600.

Canon EOS Rebel T6i two-lens SLR kit, $750
For those looking for more features than the T6 offers, this Canon features a swiveling touchscreen, more focus points, and a microphone port. At BJ’s Wholesale, the deal includes 18-55mm and 75-300mm lenses, plus a camera bag and a 32GB memory card. At Best Buy, you get the lenses and the camera bag, but no memory card. On Canon’s website, you can buy a refurbished kit for $510.

Sony Alpha a6300 single-lens mirrorless kit, $1,000
Also available at Best Buy, this deal includes a 16-50mm lens, a camera bag, and a 32GB memory card. But we’ve seen lower-priced bundles with this camera and more accessories at Focus Camera and Adorama.

Action Cam Kit Deals

GoPro Hero5 Session, $250
That’s a $50 savings, available at Best Buy and Target. The Best Buy deal includes a headstrap, but Target goes one better with a headstrap and a microSD card worth about $15.

GoPro Hero5 4K Black, $350
That’s a $50 savings, available at Best Buy, BJ’s Wholesale, and Target. Best Buy sweetens the deal with what appears to be a $60 remote and a $50 gift card. At Target, you settle for just the $50 gift card. And at BJ’s, the offer includes a headstrap, a dual battery charger, and a microSD card.
