BATTOP Foldable Infant Bath Seats Recall Order – Very High Risks of Drowning Says CPSC…

Authorities Order Recall Of BATTOP Foldable Infant Bath Seats Sold On Amazon

The United States Consumer Product Safety Commission has ordered the recall of almost 5,000 baby bath seats due to concerns of the drowning risk they pose on very young children.

According to various online reports, the authorities have released a recall order concerning BATTOP foldable infant bath seats that are exclusively sold online through e-commerce giant Amazon’s platform.

The recall order was released as a consequence of authorities finding out that the affected BATTOP foldable seats did not meet federal safety standards imposed on infant bath seat products.

Per the authorities, the BATTOP foldable infant bath seats failed to meet the requirement for product stability which may result from it tipping over while being used. This poses a serious drowning hazard to infants, most especially if they are being used without adult supervision.

As of writing, there are no reported incidents of injury or harm that are related to the product and its reported defect.

Amazon, the exclusive online distributor of the product, promised to reach out to its customers who have bought defective versions of the product through their online platform.

The company promised to refund every affected customer’s payment and free shipping for the item. On the other hand, authorities have stressed consumers to stop using the recalled BATTOP foldable infant bath seats immediately.

Is My BATTOP Foldable Infant Bath Seat A Part Of The Recall?
