What are Apple Express Stores?
According to reports, Apple has announced that it will launch more “Express” stores to make it easier for consumers to pick up orders during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
These “Express” stores will have a wall built in front of the main Apple store. Moreover, the sales counters will be protected by plexiglass. With this new feature, consumers can easily pick up an order they placed online. Moreover, it will be easier for consumers to speak with an Apple representative through the glass for in-person service.
Last month, this new feature was implemented in California, claiming that it is “a swifter way for us to serve customers.”
“It allows us to maintain all the appropriate social distancing and maintain all of our health protocols within our stores,” retail SVP Deirdre O’Brien said.
Aside from the 20 newly opened Express stores across the U.S. and Europe, Apple plans to launch more than 50 Express locations before October ends. This launch comes along with its new product launch iPhone 12 and 12 Pro.
This pandemic has challenged the retailer to keep customers. Thus, they have temporarily closed all of its retail stores outside of China.
