The group has been under fire recently, despite its rich history, and are facing nationwide accusations of sexual abuse. Many reports involve religious organizations which include the YMCA and the Youth Women’s Christian Association, or YWCA, along with other prominent youth groups.

Some people also suggest that these groups do not effectively recognize, react to, and solve abuse on their own properties.

While the allegations are being investigated, the perpetrator must be suspended, regardless of their role In the organization.

The parents must be informed if a child is involved, and this is according to the rules of the agency that will oversee the investigation.
