Twitter And The White House Team Up To Silence Other Opinions Regarding COVID-19 – Class Action
An Arizona-based naturopathic practitioner is suing Twitter and the President of the United States for allegedly teaming up with each other to silence people over the Internet that have an alternative viewpoint of the events in the ongoing Coronavirus disease-2019 or COVID-19 pandemic.
A Shut Down Account Started It All
Colleen Huber filed a class action lawsuit naming White House leader President Joe Biden, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, and other undisclosed government officials after she got suspended for posting alleged misinformation about the COVID-19 vaccine.
Plaintiff Huber shared that she posted a tweet over on her Twitter handle sharing a quote from a French publication. In it, two scientists claimed that the COVID-19 vaccine made by Pfizer posed a high mortality risk to its users.
However, she soon received an email from Twitter indicating that she has violated the social media platform’s policy on posting and spreading potentially harmful and misleading content related to the current global public health scare.
Also, she was handed down an indefinite suspension as a consequence.
When she tried to appeal her case, Twitter ended up banning her from ever using the platform for good with no room for possible appeals.
Conspiracy Between The Government And Twitter?
Huber further contended that there is an ongoing conspiracy between Twitter and White House officials in a bid to clamp down on information being shared on the site that was contrary to the government’s viewpoint.
Allegedly, the two have come to an agreement to do whatever it takes to prevent opposing pieces of information from being shared and going viral over the platform.
The Twitter & Joe Biden Covid-19 Class Action Lawsuit filed by Huber is seeking to sue the sitting President and Twitter for alleged violations of the First Amendment for Freedom of Speech and the Fifth Amendment for Equal Protection.
Continuing on, she argued that she is fighting the defendants to the case in court to uphold her’s and other people’s freedom from being discriminated against for their beliefs.
