In May 2018, there was a class action lawsuit filed against Sperian Energy. The Sperian Energy Class Action lawsuit alleges that the company misleadingly offered a low initial rate, only to be followed by a variable rate, which was on a month to month basis. According to the Sperian Energy Lawsuit complaint, Sperian charges high rates that are not based on the market and consumers end up paying more than double the market rate.
