JUUL Lawsuit Filed; JUUL Class Action Claims Deceptive Marketing

During the month of August, a JUUL class action lawsuit was filed against JUUL Labs and PAX Labs for its deceptive marketing on behalf of their JUUL e-cigarettes and pods as a safer alternative to smoking traditional cigarettes when, according to the JUUL Class Action complaint, they are at least as, if not more, addictive than traditional cigarettes and pose serious health risks. The complaint also claims that the companies misleadingly represent that the amount of nicotine in the products is about equal to a pack of cigarettes when, according to the complaint, the products deliver more nicotine than cigarettes.
