Fiat Chrysler’s Hybrid Jeep Wrangler 4xe Has Defective Car System, Class Action Claims
Fiat Chrysler or FCA US LLC is facing a class action lawsuit filed by a disgruntled customer arguing that the company’s Jeep Wrangler 4xe electric model offerings have a defective electronics component that affects the vehicle’s mobility during driving.
Aaron Kappler v. FCA US LLC
The Jeep Wrangler 4xe Faulty Electric System Class Action Lawsuit is a legal case forwarded by the complainant Aaron Kappler. He contends that Fiat Chrysler’s Jeep Wrangler 4xe hybrid release contains a fault in its internal computer system.
Continuing on, he adds that the system defect purposely puts into harm’s way the car’s driver, its passengers, and others.
In addition, the class action suggests that the company that makes the Jeep Wrangler 4xe has vehemently denied the existence of the faulty car system internals and has not properly disclosed the issue to concerned buyers, leaseholders, and others to keep them safe.
Kappler, who owns a lease to a Jeep Wrangler 4xe released in 2021, shares two separate incidents wherein his leased car’s computer system malfunctioned.
The first occasion was when he was driving his car with his family on board. The system allegedly told him to pull over to the side of the road for no apparent reason at all. After he pulled over, the system reportedly shut down and booted up again, with the system showing no signs of troubles at all.
Bothered by the incident, Kappler detailed that he tried setting up an appointment with a nearby certified Jeep dealership to deal with the said concern. Yet nobody at the dealership place has any idea about the problem and how it can be fixed.
In a separate incident, Kappler’s Jeep Wrangler 4xe has experienced another issue again. He said that he had the car towed over to another dealership, where it was left untouched for around two weeks.
The complainant tried to find help online regarding the issue, but he was not able to successfully locate any. To this day, the said car lies in a separate dealership where Kappler had it transferred for another time due to his negative experience with his Wrangler.
Jeep Wranglers’ Customers Ignored
During all of the whole ordeal, FCA did not provide Kappler any details about the issue, and no temporary vehicle was given to him while his car was getting repaired.
It is said that despite the fact that the company and authorities from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration have received multiple similar complaints as to Kappler’s, FCA did not take any responsibilities at all.
Filed in a Georgia court, the Jeep Wrangler 4xe Faulty Electric System Class Action Lawsuit is seeking to form and represent a Class group consisting of members all over the United States who bought or owns a lease of a Jeep Wrangler 4xe hybrid electric vehicle variant.
For their whole experience, Kappler wants FCA to be held accountable for all of the emotional distress, damages, and the like its defective car has caused him.
