The Entenmann’s Butter Class Action Lawsuit
A recent class action was filed against Entenmann’s and the allegations claim that their All Butter Loaf Cake is made actually from vegetable oils, and not entirely from butter. This likely occurs because butter costs more than alternative shortenings, however, any product that has butter in its name or prominently situated on its label should mean that its main ingredient should be butter!
Butter vs Artificial Butter; The Great Showdown
The case’s allegations further state that the marketing representations about Entenmann’s All Butter Loaf Cake misleads consumers to buy their product even though butter is not the only shortening ingredient included in its list.
Along with butter, their product also has soybean oil and artificial butter flavoring, which gives the impression that their baked product has more butter in it than it actually does.
