All About The Cottonelle Wipes Class Action Lawsuit
Listen! Your flushable wet wipes might be trying to kill you! Kimberly-Clark is in some trouble for the recent news surrounding contaminated Cottonelle products.
Flushable wet wipes are a very versatile product that can come in very handy in certain situations. However, Cottonelle has been left in some hot water as they face a class action lawsuit for their supposed misdoings in regard to their flushable wet wipe products; the Cottonelle Flushable Wipes and the Cottonelle GentlePlus Flushable Wipes.
Allegedly, a batch of these products ended up being contained with a dangerous bacterial strain, which can cause discomfort and even infections to the ones who used either the Cottonelle Flushable Wipes and the Cottonelle GentlePlus Flushable Wipes.
Though the products’ maker, Kimberly-Clark, issued a voluntary recall of certain lots of both of the Cottonelle Flushable Wipes and the Cottonelle GentlePlus Flushable Wipes, the nature of how they did it still raised concerns.
These concerns include, according to a report by Erin Shaak of ClassAction.org, the company downplaying the severity of the situation through the frequently asked questions (FAQ) page on its official website of the product.
The severity of the situation is yet to be determined but it was reported that there were contaminated Cottonelle products shipped all around the world.
