Blackbaud Data Breach Leads to Class Action
Blackbaud, Inc. face a class action lawsuit after the company’s servers’ security got compromised earlier this year.
The case, which was filed in the United States (U.S.) District Court District of South Carolina (Charleston Division), contends that there are almost thousands of individuals who are now experiencing heightened risk levels of incidents such as identity theft and fraud.
This comes after the Blackbaud experienced a data breach to its servers early this year, that lasted for almost three months. Yes! Three Months!
Unfortunately, these servers held sensitive data and pieces of information for thousands of students, patients, doctors, and donors.
