As Seen On TV Class Action Lawsuit
The plaintiffs have filed a class-action lawsuit against Ontel Products Corp. due to alleged deceptive advertising. The lawsuit claims that the company misleadingly marketed “as seen on tv” products.
The following products are included in the recent class action lawsuit:
- Micro Mechanic
- Huggle™ Hoodie
- Magic Pad
- Piggy Pop
- Artic Air™ Ultra
- Chill Chest™
- Dust Daddy™
- Thermapulse™ Relief Wrap
- Miracle Teeth Whitener™
According to the plaintiffs, the company used a bait-and-switch scheme where the company offers a product at a cheap price. However, they allegedly deceive consumers into paying for additional products and add-on features.

What To Know
The lawsuit asserts that the Ontel Products Corp committed the following issues:
- Uses vague and confusing language to explain the terms of promotional offers to deceive consumers into ordering for more goods than they want to buy
- Fails to articulately say the number of products a consumer is purchasing during the online sale
- Fails to provide the material terms of “online shipping insurance” and crediting consumers for the insurance without their consent, and
- Wrongly advertises a “60 Day Money Back Guarantee” when, according to plaintiffs, the company fails to reveal that the processing, shipping, and handling charges will not be refunded
