Fox News Defamation Lawsuit Details – DVS Asking For $1.6 Billion Over Fox News 2020 Election’s False Coverage

Dominion Voting Systems is suing Fox News for allegedly peddling false information concerning election fraud conspiracy theories for their own monetary gain.

The Canadian voting technology company accused the Fox News of purposely going on a media campaign to defame Dominion Voting Systems through its post-election coverage of the United States 2020 National Elections.

Dominion Voting Systems was embroiled in hot water after one of the most scrutinized and highly divisive elections in the country’s history.

The company has received massive negative publicity after former President Donald Trump has accused the company of illegally counting votes in states where he lost.

Fox News also decided to jump on the bandwagon and continued to broadcast malicious and unsubstantiated claims against Dominion Voting System and how the company had a hand in dictating the election’s final outcome.

Its employees were also subjected to harassment from Trump supporters. Some even received death threats as a result of Fox News’s coverage of the company’s participation in the elections.

Dominion Voting Systems’s legal team is suing the broadcasting and media company for defamation and is seeking a $1.6 billion payment for damages.

According to the company’s filing in the Superior Court of the State of Delaware, Fox News knowingly spread false information and claims against Dominion Voting Systems that ended up harming the company.

Fellow voting technology company Smartmatic has also filed a lawsuit against Fox News for its conspiracy-ridden post-election coverage.

A Fox News representative has stressed that the company took pride in how it handled the election coverage.
