Settlement In Partners Healthcare System Online Privacy Case Approved

Individuals who are allowed to join are anybody in the United States or those living in the state of Massachusetts and have gotten medical attention and care from Partners Healthcare System and happened to browse a number of sites online.

The class action settlement originated from a legal challenge filed by two unnamed respondents in the Partners Partners Healthcare System Online Privacy Lawsuit. They contended that victims like them who went to a number of sites have gotten their private information collected from them and shared with other third parties without their prior consent.

The class action detailed that when people visited a particular site covered in the case, their web browser application ended up disclosing their personal data to cookies, pixels, and many more. This all happened without obtaining the express permission of the particular site visitor.

Amidst all of the legal claims, Mass General Birgham, formerly Partners Healthcare System, has denied any wrongdoing on its part. It vehemently retorted that it has nothing to do with the legal claims forwarded by the complainants.

Nevertheless, all of the parties involved in the case have reached a mutual understanding that taking on the settlement route would be the most beneficial to each and everyone moving forward.

As of writing, the Massachusetts-based court handling the case has not rendered any decision in favor of any of the actors in the Partners Healthcare System Online Privacy Class Action.
