Electrolux Home Products Inc. Agrees To Compensate Consumers Amid Class Action Suit
According to the class action lawsuit, some of Electrolux’s dryers had defects that could lead to fires. The lawsuit alleges that the dryers contained defects that caused them to start fires due to lint buildup. In addition to these allegations, it is also alleged that Electrolux breached warranties and violated consumer protection laws.
The deadline to submit a claim for reimbursement for future dryer fires is December 31, 2022.
Are You Eligible To Claim A Reward?
If you purchased any freestanding dryers from Electrolux between January 1, 2002 and December 31, 2011, you may be entitled to compensation from the settlement.
Qualifying Class Members will be entitled to:
- A cash reward or online voucher code worth up to $350 off the purchase of a new Frigidaire or Electrolux brand home appliance or product
- A free dryer cleaning service
- Up to $1,300 for out-of-pocket expenses from a fire in one of Electrolux’s dryers
