Retailers of CAM2 303 And Smitty’s Tractor Hydraulic Fluid Agrees To Pay More than $7 Million As Settlement; Customer Settlement Payments Vary
CAM2 303 and Smitty’s customers who bought their tractor hydraulic fluid are slated to receive compensation after four retailers of the product have agreed to pay $7.2 million to end the allegations that the tractor hydraulic fluid caused engine damage to its users.
Companies Selling Hydraulic Fluid For Tractors Cave In; Customers Allegedly Misled With Untrue Product Marketing Claims
It is noteworthy that only the companies that sell and distribute the disputed tractor hydraulic fluid products have agreed to an agreement with the settlement terms and conditions. They are Atwood, Rural King, Tractor Supply Co., and Orscheln Farm.
The quad has promised to pay the amount of $7.2 million to end the legal proceedings lodged against them. However, they vehemently denied any wrongdoings and rebuked the allegations being raised against them.
The CAM2 303 And Smitty’s Tractor Hydraulic Fluid Settlement 2021 was filed against the makers of the abovementioned product and the companies that distributed them after reports came in that customers who have bought and used them ended up having their engines damaged.

It is reported that the CAM2 303 and Smitty’s tractor hydraulic fluid contained line wash, transformer oil, and others that were deemed inappropriate for use.

Additionally, clients were allegedly kept in the dark and were not informed of the true nature of the product, plus the possibility that using the product on their equipment and machinery could end up damaging them.

As of writing, the companies behind these potentially problematic tractor hydraulic fluids mentioned in this article, CAM2 International LLC and Smitty’s Supply Inc., still continue legal proceedings in court.
In the meantime, only the businesses that sell the tractor hydraulic fluid product for retail have decided to pay up and move forward with the settlement process. Listed below are some of the important information you need to know if you want to file a claim.
The CAM2 303 And Smitty’s Tractor Hydraulic Fluid Settlement 2021 will allow eligible customers to file for three types of claims:
- Total Claim Value (this claim covers all of the charges computed on the following two types of claims below),
- General Equipment Damage Claim Value, and
- Specific Damage Claim Value.
Each customer’s eligible claim amount depends on various factors ranging from their usage and the number of CAM2 303 and Smitty’s tractor hydraulic fluid products they have bought from any of the retailers included in this settlement, damages incurred on their equipment, and the like. The amount will be calculated moving forward.
The settlement amounts will change as soon as the manufacturer defendants, CAM2 International LLC and Smitty’s Supply Inc., have decided to enter into a settlement agreement too or via a court judgment order.
Only customers who have bought the following products between the 1st December 2013 to the 23rd June 2021 at any Atwood, Tractor Supply Co. (Del’s Feed & Farm Supply), Rural King, and Orscheln Farm and Home LLC stores are considered eligible for receiving a settlement check:
- Super S Supertrac 303 Tractor Hydraulic Fluid
- Super S 303 Tractor Hydraulic Fluid,
- Cam2 ProMax 303 Tractor Hydraulic Oil, and/or
- Cam2 303 Tractor Hydraulic Oil.
Missouri customers who only bought the Super S Supertrac 303 Tractor Hydraulic Fluid are not eligible to join the settlement agreement.
Claimants who are looking forward to filing a claim and join the settlement proceedings can submit their claim forms via the settlement site before 29th December 2021.
Those who do not want to participate in the settlement or want to object to the terms and conditions of the settlement can file their objections on the same deadline as the aforementioned.
The court has set a fairness hearing on 6th January 2022.
